There are two categories of people:
One who openly celebrates events like the New Year lays down strong resolutions for themselves and keeps track of their progress throughout the year.
Another category of people don’t believe in countdowns, don’t build resolutions, don’t create lists, yet still have a list of milestones to achieve in their subconscious mind.
I will be addressing both of these groups.
…
We’re one week into 2024.
This week was enough for you to determine how strongly you fulfilled your resolutions, how well your new schedule is going for you, and how close you are to your goals – ultimately paving the way for the rest of the year.
And instead of talking to you on the first day of this year, now is the right time.
We’re way past the New Year wishes and Googling “Best New Year resolutions”.
It’s the time to act.
And I will help you act.
…
Getting a new start in life is a good place to start. Whether it’s a breakup, the feeling of becoming a mom/dad, or just flipping a page on your calendar, a new start allows you to reflect on life, re-calibrate yourself, and pivot in life.
Even if you don’t believe in writing resolutions for the new year, there’s still a place in your mind that makes you think about what you want to prioritize this year.
We’re humans and we’re all wired this way!
However, there are 3 things that all of us unanimously prioritize.
- Personal Development
- Health and Well-Being
- Finances
And here’s a list of resolutions you need to lay down for this year:
1. Personal Development
I know you’re already laser-focused on your goals.
Whether it’s building a successful business or expanding one, you are already working tirelessly towards it.
But there’s nobody who has ever achieved anything without setting down minor and major milestones.
In a business, the goal posts are indefinite. There’s always more money, more staff, and more offices that you can have. However, you can still build a framework in the following way:
- Set SMART Goals: Define your goals for 2024 using the Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound framework. This will help you create a clear roadmap for the year ahead.
- Develop a Rigid Mindset: Embrace challenges and view them as opportunities for growth. Cultivate a growth mindset by seeking feedback, learning from your mistakes, and continuously improving. Reflect on 2023 and promise yourself to not repeat the mistakes that you made last year.
- Keep learning: It’s a very accurate phrase – You learn till you die. Identify the skills you need to develop or enhance in 2024 and create a plan to acquire or improve them. This could include talking to others more, being more active in your industry, and seeking personal and professional mentors.
2. Health and Well-being
I always endorse a healthy lifestyle – both mentally and physically.
Remember, become strong physically to protect yourself from others; and become mentally strong to protect yourself from yourself.
You’ll always see me in a better shape and you’ll always hear me talking about prioritising your health. There’s no point in having the riches of life when you aren’t in a suitable position to even enjoy them.
That’s why I want you to focus on improving your health this year!
- Prioritize Self-care: This one is simple. Eat well, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep. This will help you maintain a healthy lifestyle and improve your overall well-being.
- Manage Stress: Develop healthy coping strategies for stress, such as practising mindfulness, journaling, or engaging in relaxation techniques. My entire 9D breathwork program revolves around managing stress and I encourage you to finally sign up!
- Build a Support Network: Surround yourself with a good group of people. Be it your family or your friends, but have a support system that allows you to be yourself and talk about things from time to time. We’re all social beings and we want other people to keep us sane!
3. Financial Planning
Like it or not, money is what runs the world.
I always tell my followers to keep building strong money-making channels and become financially independent.
You know why?
Because a rich person is a powerful person. A rich person can help others. And a rich person can aid plenty of people.
So it’s a great time to build wealth that will sustain for a long time for you. And here’s how you can prepare.
- Stop thinking money is valuable: Most people don’t understand money. Most people chase money and keep a pile of money as the end goal. That is never ideal. The only reason is that money is only a method of getting something. You love that Ferrari? Spend that money! You want your dream home? Spend the money! You want a beautiful wedding? Spend the money! Prioritize other goals and remove the value from money. Think of money as the middleman between yourself and your goals. Focus on goals that matter rather than collecting paper.
- Be smart about money: Set aside money in an emergency fund to cover unexpected expenses or financial setbacks. Keep yourself isolated from problems that require you to spend little amounts of money. Focus on solving bigger problems instead.
You see, the world around us is transforming rapidly.
Today’s Twitter trend is yesterday’s news.
And we’re constantly flipping pages on a calender, hoping this year would be better than the previous.
But in all honesty, your life is directly proportional to how great you make it. The more you work towards it, the more rewards you will reap.
Keep working towards your goals. Keep building and growing. And keep focusing on what matters without distractions.
Let my weekly letter to you be a reminder of what you’ve achieved and how far you still have to go.
And if you want my help in achieving your best, I am here.
